NO, SRF has not lost it's way!
SRF is teaching Yogananda's legacy and carrying out His Divine world vision, just as He wished, and has faithfully continued his ideals with wise, courageous, and compassionate leadership..fp

Loyalty is the Highest Law
by
Paramahansa Yogananda
From Service Reading 1-39
SRF Pub LA USA

'Self-Realization teachings reveal the highway of God-Realization whereon all bypaths of spiritual beliefs meet. A divine link of great masters-- Christ, Bhagavan Krishna, Babaji, Lahairi Mahasaya, and Sri Yukteswar  -- is behind SRF. And God Realization is behind it, for Self-Realization Fellowship brings to the world the light of a special dispensation.

Loyalty is the greatest law of the spiritual path.
I am very loyal to my order of Gurus.
In this respect I am quite orthodox. It is true that in God all saints are one; but when a particular Guru comes on earth to help other souls, those whom he helps should be loyal to the one whom God has sent to them. So from the platform I talk chiefly about my line of masters. A Self-Realizationist should be completely loyal to God, Christ, and the Masters of Self-Realization Fellowship.

The pattern for this work was laid out in 1894 -- one year before the passing of Lahiri Mahasaya. Our prime purpose in SRF churches and centers is to bring together souls who really love God, and to seek him through practical , scientific methods of meditation.
We respect all paths; but we emphasize the value of Self-Realization Fellowship teachings as the path of self-unfoldment or Self-Realization."

YOGANANDAJI
SPEAKS ON STUDYING
THE SRF LESSONS

"It is not enough just to attend  the meetings at SRF centers.
Those who are serious about final emancipation should
establish a link with Self-Realization Fellowship
headquarters by taking the priceless lessons sent out every week.
These studies will enable you to find the secret door of your soul
-- through which you can sense the presence of the
Self-Realization Fellowship Gurus, and Christ and Krishna waiting
to introduce you to the infinite."
" No man can come to me,  except the Father which has
 sent me draw Him.:"
The heavenly Father can be reached  only through His messengers.
Christ and the great gurus of Self-Realization Fellowship
 are such messengers."

The Great Search by Paramahansa Yogananda.

"One who has even a faint desire to know God finds that
spiritual books and teachers are mysteriously brought to his attention.

But when the devotional flame in an aspirants heart is fully aroused,
the heavenly Father arranges to draw that soul to
His Kingdom through a Guru-Preceptor who perceives him.

The blind cannot lead the blind.
Only a true Guru can lead seeking devotees.
A Guru is one who so loves God that, oblivious of the self,
He desires only
to establish God-consciousness in true disciples
who are sent to him by the Heavenly Father.
This is not an age in which earnest seekers will find
satisfaction merely by listening to spiritual sermons.

They must learn through a scientific method such as Kriya Yoga,
which has been given to the world through the link of SRF/YSS Guru - Preceptors.

To establish God -consciousness in the souls of men is my great interest.
I see that everything else us futile.
The one purpose of Self-Realization Fellowship
is to teach the individual man the way to personal communion with God.

Those who make the effort will not miss Him."

The Living Guru's Promise

"God has sent you to me, and I shall never fail you... "Even when I am gone my help will always be given to devotees all over the world, if they keep in tune. Never think for a moment that when I am physically absent from you all, I am not otherwise with you. I shall be just as deeply concerned for your spiritual welfare when I am no longer in the body as I am now. I shall always be watching over each one of you, and whenever a true devotee thinks of me in the silent depths of his soul, he will know that I am near."

Paramahansa Yogananda, quoted in the SRF calender, August, 1993.
